As part of the On-Boarding process, all applicants for membership in Freemasonry will be asked to obtain a background check prior to petitioning the Freemason Grand Lodge. The process helps to maintain the historic standard that all candidates be “of good report and well recommended”. Applicants who are recommended by an active Freemason are not required to perform a background check.
